Bajaj Auto has recently announced the new flagship models of the company. Here come the twin brothers, Bajaj Discover 150S and 150F, although they are wearing almost same uniform, but still they are the flagship models of the company. After launching these two motorcycles, the manufacturer has made a decision of discontinuing the elder brothers, Discover 100t and 125T. So, as of now, there are only 4 Discover variants available in the market.
Though, both the bikes look similar to each other, but deep down from the bottom of the engine, they are exactly twin brothers. Let's feast your eyes over the features of the Bajaj Discover 150S and 150F.
Elegance in Style: The Bajaj Discover 150S and 150F look almost alike to each other. The prime difference between both the motorcycles are that the Discover 150S is a standard commuter motorcycle carrying unadorned features, while the Discover 150F has come loaded with little bit front fairing. The F in the Discover 150F evinces its fairing. In terms of styling, there is no comparison of both the motorcycles. The front visor over the headlamps, muscular tank carrying 3D badge, a long and narrow seat; if compared to other 150's and its black finished engine are some of the spotlight from the motorcycles. The thing which remains untouched comprises alloy wheels, mudguard, LED tail-lights and grab rails.
Human Engineering: The Bajaj Discover 150S and Discover 150F gets its power from the same 150cc engine. It seems that the company's state of mind doesn’t allow it to introduce two different motorcycles in the market. So, they shared the same engine in between two motorcycles and get acquainted with the people. Talking about the technical specifications of the motorcycle, the Discover 150S and 150F are powered by the same 145cc engine class. The engine uses an air-cooled, 4-Valve head, twin spark plugs. It is capable to generate a total power of 14.5PS and a peak torque of 12.7Nm. The 145cc engine is coupled with a 5-speed gearbox. The manufacturer claimed that the motorcycle can be able to achieve a top speed of 110KMPH.
Frugal Ride: Here we'll be discussing about the riding and handling capability of Bajaj Discover 150S and Discover 150F. As per the manufacturer of these commuter motorcycles, they will be able to give you best-in-class riding performance. The engine mechanism is developed in such a manner that either riding over the highways or on a bumpy road filled with potholes, both the motorcycle will be provide hassle-free riding to its rider. The company pays special attention on the safety features. The Discover 150S is equipped with a 130mm drum brake at front and rear both and disc brake at the front will be available as an option. While, the Discover 150F will be featuring disc brake at the front and drum brake at the rear.
Bombshell Features: Well, it seems that the manufacturer has designed both these motorcycles in a bit hurry, as the company had forgotten to furnish these motorcycles with some special features. However, the Discover 150S has received a low-cost analog instrument cluster, equipped with the same monoshock suspension from the Discover 125ST. And, the Bajaj Discover 150F is sporting a telescopic front fork and monoshock at the rear. The 150F also receives the same instrument console, but it appears with a digital readout, which is different from the 150S.
Verdict: The Bajaj Discover 150S and Discover 150F are being loaded with the youthful features, and both are having the capability to attract the youth crowd. The Discover 150S will be coming in two variants, with disc brake and without disc brake. The Bajaj Discover 150S with disc brake is priced at Rs 55,000 and without disc brake variant will cost Rs 52,000. On the other hand, the Bajaj Discover 150F will be coming carrying only one single variant equipped with disc brake and is priced at Rs 59,000 (Ex-Showroom Pune).
