Toyota Camry Facelift Launched in India

Today, Toyota has launched its Camry facelift in India at the starting price of INR 28.8 Lac for the base variant and 31.92 Lac for the hybrid one. Unveiled at the New York Motor Show last year, this vehicle gets major cosmetic and convenient changes on the outside as well as inside, while from the mechanical perspective, it remains unchanged as its current version. At the front, this runabout receives completely latest design philosophy from Toyota with new bumper, including hexagonal air dam that has been surrounded by large chrome.

Moreover, its front fascia also comprises revised headlamps, which come with halogen projectors and LED lights for high beam and low beam, respectively. On the other hand, the side profile includes new alloy wheels and some additional skirts. Individually, the petrol model has 16 inch alloys, whereas 17 inch alloys are available for the hybrid variant. Apart from the revised rear bumper, chrome stripped boot and updated boot-lid, its rear end remains same as the existing one.

Coming to inside, Toyota offers various updated equipments, such as a new instrument cluster comprising a 4.2 inch TFT display and a blue-backlit twin-dial unit. Moreover, it gets a 6.1 inch media screen, updated climate control system, renovated wood trim finish and a latest multifunctional steering wheel. Beneath the skin, the Toyota Camry facelift continues a 2.5 litre four cylinder petrol engine to churn out power of 179 bhp and a torque of 233 Nm.

Its hybrid version is also powered by a 2.5 litre four cylinder engine, but produces a maximum power of 202 bhp and a peak torque of 270 Nm. Both of these models have been mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission and CVT & electric motor, respectively.
