Toyota Launches Innova Crysta Touring Sport Launched in India, Starting at INR 17.79 Lakh

Toyota Kirloskar Motors (TKM) has launched the Innova Crysta Touring Sport in India at a starting price of INR 17.79 Lakh ex-showroom, Delhi. The Touring Sport is available in different trims and different powertrains along with the choice of manual or automatic transmission.

It is based on the same platform that runs Innova Crysta and boasts of several cosmetic updates through inside out. However, the under hood specs remain unchanged. Oppose to the expectations, it will not be just a limited run instead, it will add-on to the existing Innova Crysta India line-up. With the added performance version, the carmaker has charged an additional amount of INR 75,000.

Well, starting with the new shades, the Touring Sport gets two new paint scheme - Wildfire and White Pearl Crystal Shine. Tagged as ‘Designed To Distinguish’, the new performance version Innova Crysta boasts of black body cladding on the bumper and wheel arches along with side skirts that further enhance the muscular appearance of the MPV.

The carmaker also makes prominent use of chrome to highlight the several exterior details which include the front grille, wing mirrors and side cladding running along the length of the car. Moving at the rear, the car gets blacked-out strip joining the tail lamps and chrome finished bumper spoiler.

The new Touring Sport version rides on new 16-inch alloy wheels. However, the carmaker had discontinued the bigger 17-inch alloy wheels from the entire Innova Crysta range after receiving lots of customer complaints regarding the tyre damage.

Overall, with the new updations, the carmaker has managed to make the Touring Sports variant look muscular and sportier, especially in the Wildfire shade.

Moving on the interiors which sound quite dark, feature an all black theme with red faux wood inserts on the dashboard and door pads. The instrument cluster now illuminates in red and the blacked out seat upholstery gets red stitching to carry the sporty spirit inside the cabin.

Other details of equipment and features on the Touring Sport will be similar to the corresponding variant of the Innova Crysta.

Giving you a tour around this best-selling MPV car in the country, Crysta is a second generation update to the Innova and was launched in May 2016. Crysta has continued to keep the sales graph on a higher notch despite its premium price tag over the regular model. And now with the add-on sports variant, the carmaker is further confident on adding numbers in its sales graph.
