The recent reports suggest that the Vitara Brezza from Maruti Suzuki will be launched under the Toyota- badged sometime between 2020 and 2021.
Toyota Kirloskar Motor, stated in a press release, "The Vitara Brezza is part of our future plans. The (Toyota-badged) Baleno is for this year; the Vitara Brezza is for next year or the year after. It's yet to be decided.
The rebadged version of the Vitara Brezza is likely to come with minor changes that we would see on the exterior and interior front of the vehicle. As per the information surfaced on the internet the Toyota badged Vitara Brezza would be compliant with new BS-VI ready norms and it could be available in a 1.5-litre diesel engine option.

However, the outgoing model has 1.3-litre, 4-cylinder diesel engine that churns out 89 BHP @ 4,000 rpm and 200 Nm of torque @ 1,750 rpm and transmission duties is being carried out by 5- gearbox. Currently, it is available in AMT and manual transmission options.
Earlier in March 2018, Toyota and Maruti had signed an agreement that allows both of the car makers to access each other products. Under this great deal, Toyota will be planning to launch re-badged versions of Baleno and Vitara Brezza in India which are expected to be unveiled in the near future. However, the Maruti Suzuki is gearing to launch a Corolla Altis-based sedan.
