Toyota brought the second generation Innova Crysta to the Indian shores, making a refreshing entry in the compact MPV segment. The second generation Innova Crysta was recently showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo in Delhi NCR region. Looking to this, Toyota Kirloskar Motor(TKM) has finally stopped the production of the outgoing Innova model. Few last units of the current model rolled out of the the Bidadi plant located in Karnataka. Innove is a well known SUV, which replaced the then popular Qualis in 2005. In little time, Toyota Innova began to grab attention of commercial as well as private car buyers.
As the company is opting to end the production, now the old generation Innova will not be sold with the new Innova Crysta. It has been a remarkable journey for the Innova model in the Indian car market. Many carmakers are still unable to beat the legacy of Toyota Innova. All that other carmakers managed was to make difference with the pricing and some add-ons. The second generation Toyota Innova Crysta is all set to make entry in the Indian market by the mid of this year. Toyota promises to deliver customer satisfaction at its best with improved aesthetics, comfort level, latest features, and fuel economy.
The new Toyota Innova Crysta is based on the latest TNGA platform, making it upmarket and ultra powerful offroader MPV. It gets a highly improved 2.5-litre diesel engine coupled to a 6-speed manual gearbox. Moreover, the company has also planned to introduce a new 2.0-litre petrol engine shortly for cities like Delhi, which is facing diesel ban. Post launch, we may witness considerable price hike with the model due to some auxiliary additions like touchscreen infotainment system, automatic climate control, ambient lighting.
