Looks like it is yesterday’s matter when we were talking about the arrival of Triumph Bonneville T100 family in India at the Intermot. Well, within no time, the British manufacturer has launched the debutant in the country completing the promise made at the show.
For a reminisce, Triumph has announced the Bonneville T100 family at the International motorcycle show this month earlier and confirmed the launch in India as well. Being one of the most budget-friendly bikes in the line-up, the machine holds a starting price tag of INR 7.78 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The plus factor of the bike is its compactness with retro styling. A novice rider can easily manage the motorcycle owing to a shorter wheelbase, lower seat, and comfortable dynamics.
As per the power configuration, the Bonneville T100 gets spruced up with a 900cc, liquid-cooled, parallel twin engine generating 54BHP and 80NM torque. The engine set up has been shared with the Street Twin, however, rake and trail are more relaxed this time. Despite carrying a little fat of 231 kg, it’s practical for a routine voyage.
Other attributes of the bike are ride-by-wire technology, torque assist clutch, switchable traction control, Kayaba 41mm front forks, preload-adjustable twin Kayaba dampers, single 310mm floating disc at the front, and 255mm disc at the rear (both are stifled by two-pot Nissin calipers and dominated by ABS). Impressively, the service gap for the powertrain has been enhanced from 10,000km to 16,000km.
The Bonneville T100 comes in three duo-shade paint schemes of Blue-Silver, Black-Silver, and Orange-Silver. Besides, it has been offered with 150 customization accessories including the performance Vance and Hines pea shooter exhaust pipes.
