Triumph India has launched the new Street Scrambler, the mild off-road iteration of the Street twin at INR 8.1 lakh (ex-showroom, pan India). After the Street Twin, Bonneville T100, Bonneville T120, Thruxton R and the Bonneville Bobber, the Street Scrambler is the six model in the Triumph modern classics family. Featured with the cycle parts to go mud slugging, the new Street Scrambler is a fun to ride bike on mild off-road tracks.
The new bike, which is equipped with a wider handlebar, a bash plate, a 19-inch front wheel, a 17-inch spoke wheel at the rear and Metzeler Tourance dual-purpose tyres, also received the rear shocks with improved suspension travel. Other than this, the retro styled Street Scrambler is blessed with the top of the line features such as switchable ABS, traction control and a USB charging point. The high-mounted stainless steel exhaust is the major highlight of the new Street Scrambler design.

Under the fuel tank, the motorcycle is loaded with the same 900cc, parallel-twin motor of the standard bike. With the maximum power output of 55PS, the engine does justice to the unit’s “High Torque” moniker by propelling the peak torque of 80Nm. The motorcycle has a fuel tank capacity of 12 litre and claimed mileage of around 26 Kmpl. the damping duties on the bike are under the consideration of telescopic front forks and rear twin shock absorber. While, the braking will come from disc brakes at both wheels. The bike weighs 206kg(dry weight) and has a low seat height of 790mm. Available in the three colour options of jet black, matte khaki green, karosi red and frozen silver, the new Scrambler will go head to head with the Ducati Scrambler Icon.
