The British Superbike manufacturer on Monday said that it will issue a recall for approximately 100 units of the Street Triple RS in India. Concerning faulty left-side switchgear is the reason behind calling off certain Street Triple RS. The water ingress in left-hand switch cube will cause a malfunction in indicator and headlight.
Triumph India quoted in a statement that the customers will be proactively contacted by the respective dealerships in order to check and rectify the issue free of cost. The latest Triumph Street Triple RS was introduced in Indian product lineup last year, pricing at INR 10.55 lakh (ex-showroom). While, the company stepped into the Indian biking industry in 2013 with ten models, which now offers a wide range of motorcycles in five different categories.

Besides Triumph India, the American subsidiary of the Triumph had also issued a recall for over 1200 motorcycles concerning similar left-hand switchgear issue. However, in this recall, the subjected models were the complete Street Triple range. Including the Triumph Street Triple R, Triple S and the Street Triple RS.
