Triumph Thruxton R ‘Black’ has been captured performing test runs outside Triumph factory in the United Kingdom. It’s not the bike which gets blacked out treatment. Other than this, there is a series of modern classics feature dark finishes for parts offered in aluminium or chrome for standard models. It includes the Bonneville T120 and the Bonneville T100 along with the Bonneville Bobber Black. Besides, the Thruxton R ‘Black’ all other models are available on sale in the international markets.
The test mule was featured with satin black finished wheel rims, black engine covers and cylinders as like the other black versions. The gold plated Showa inverted forks has also blacked out on the bike. However, to keep it exclusive as, like the earlier model, the chrome finish fork tubes have been replaced with gold finish ones with black calliper mounts and gold preload adjuster. In addition to this, the motorcycle gets an LED headlamp setup along with matching LED turn indicators borrowed from the limited edition Thruxton TFC series.

The brushes on the clutch cover and silencer are hinting the automaker testing motorcycle rigorously before its debut in the international market. Other than this, there was oxidation on the alloy cam covers and dried salt water residue on the engine which seems deliberately done by the automaker in lieu of finding out the durability of blackout components.
The Triumph Thruxton R Black arrival could be witnessed any time soon in the global market. FYI, any of the models from modern classic range is not being offered with the blacked out version in India. Hence the chances of Thruxton R Black is also too low in our market in the coming future.
