TVS Motors, a Chennai-based auto major is reportedly working on the functioning of Apache RTR 200 variants. Back in Jan 2016, the company had launched the motorcycle with two engine variants– the Fuel Injected and the Carburettor one. The company since after the launch put the carburetor injected variant on sale, while kept the sales of top end fuel injected variant on hold. But owing to some issues, the launch has been delayed till now.
Riders or bikers are enthusiastically waiting for the launch of this fuel- injected variant and now finally the wait is over.
The curious audience were asking again and again about the detailing of TVS FI variant launch. And, a previous report suggests that TVS has the plan of starting deliveries of the FI and ABS variants from March / April 2017. But this doesn’t happen. So everyone is asking one question when it will be launched?
According to the TVS Facebook Page, the reply from the manufacturer to this question was the launch will take place by 3rd Quarter of 2017. Consequently, the pending variant of Apache 200 is likely to launch by September 2017.
Globally, the TVS Apache RTR 200 FI is in demand that is the only reason behind its delay in India. Considerably, only the ABS+FI variant is being exported and the TVS is fulfilling the export demand of the variant. Now, the company has already ramped up the RTR 200 FI production and will launch it in the country soon.
As expected, the TVS Apache RTR 200 will be equipped with dual channel ABS, BS IV compliant fuel injected motor. If talks about the highlighting features of the motorcycle, it includes a LED pilot lamps, all digital instrument console, clip-on handlebars, split seats, LED tail lights, disc brakes at both wheels, etc.

Mated to a 5-speed gearbox, the engine is capable of transmitting 20.5 PS of power at 8,500 rpm along with 18.1 Nm of torque at 7,000 rpm. However, as per the know detailings, the fuel injected variant will deliver an output of 21 PS at 8,500 rpm whereas the torque will be similar to a carb variant.
While launch in Jan 2016, TVS has announced that the Apache RTR 200 FI will be priced at Rs 1.15 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). However, the motorcycle prices can vary when it will mark its debut in September 2017.
