As we all know, India has witnessed a drastic change in emission norms, transition from BS-III to BS-IV emission norms on April 1, 2017. The two wheeler manufacturers in the Indian biking industry, were already aware of the change in emission norms. So many of them have already started updations of their product lineup to comply these new emission regulations. While, others commenced this modifications process on their items after BS-IV implementation. Following the same run, TVS Motors, has also updated its lineup with BS-IV engine along with best selling scooter, TVS Jupiter.
Besides BS-IV compliant engine, the 2017 Jupiter also gets an Automatic Headlamp On (AHO) and Sync Braking System features. However, the company did not charge a single penny extra for these addition and it is still available to purchase at Rs 49,666 (ex-showroom New Delhi).

"TVS Jupiter has received such enthusiasm from the consumers in response to its credo of Zyada ka Fayda. Living true to it, not only entire Jupiter range is now BSIV compliant, it now offers the unique Sync Braking System across entire range," TVS Motor, Vice-President (Marketing), Scooters, Aniruddha Haldar said.
Other changes that TVS Jupiter has observed and about them may be our audience not aware of are, addition of a new matte blue shade to the lineup. Availability of non disc option not only for Stallion Brown ZX variant but also for Royal Wine millionth edition which were only available in disc brake option. Moreover, the letter mentioned limited edition has also been transformed to Jupiter top end ZX trim.

On powering end, the similar 110cc CVT-i engine will perform propelling duties. The powertrain is rated to churn out 8.2 ps of power through automatic gearbox. This added CVT-i engine technology helps in delivering the best-in-class combination of power & fuel economy to the scooter.
In terms of rivalry, the competition that is going head to head is with the segment leader Honda Activa. However, the Jupiter is performing really well and has become one of the first choices in this scooter category. Other participants encompasses Hero Maestro, Mahindra Gusto, Hero Duet, etc.
