TVS Motor Company has launched the Himalayan Highs special edition Scooty Zest 110 in the country. The special edition has been priced Rs. 600 more than the regular model and carries Rs 46,113 (ex-showroom, Delhi) price tag. This Himalayan Highs special edition celebrates the achievement of Scooty Zest 110 to becoming the first 110cc segment scooter to conquer the highest motorable pass in the world- Khardung La, which is over 18000 feet in height. To achieve, this target on a 110cc powered scooter is likely to be impossible for a female rider.

But the professional rider and bike stunter Anam Hashim came out with this barrier and became the first Indian woman to scale the Khardung La. No mechanical and design changes have been made by the automaker. The Scooty Zest 110 Himalayan Highs shares the same 110cc single-cylinder engine of the standard version that emits the power of 7.9bhp at 7,500 rpm and torque of 8.7Nm at 5,500 rpm and the whole setup is mated to CVT transmission.
