TVS Motors Aims to Achieve 10% Domestic Sales Growth in 2017

India’s one of the high-profile two-wheeler firm, TVS Motor Company, is focusing to increase domestic sales with the aim to achieve a hike of 10% to the upcoming fiscal, 2016-17. As we know, the Chennai based firm has recently added two new products to the lineup, one is the TVS Victor, a 110cc commuter bike while other one is TVS Apache 200cc, a performance bike for the racing enthusiasts in the country.

The new addition in the TVS stable, will definitely help in obtaining the goal of 10% sales growth to the next fiscal. As of now, this Chennai based manufacturer is selling approx 1.85 lakh unit per month and aiming to touch the 20 lakh units target as compared to the 18 lakh unit last year, Mr. J S Srinivasan, Vice president- sales & service open up these sales figures to the media.

Mr. J S Srinivasan while expressing the TVS objectives, stated, "Next year (2016-17), we expect the industry to grow by 5 to 6%. That's what is being estimated by various analysts. We should be growing at 10% over the current financial year." Further he speak about its recently launched most prominent TVS Victor, first launched in 2002 and took TVS Motors at a good position in the motoring market, "We believe that TVS Victor is a world-class product as it takes a big step forward in terms of performance with ride and handling so as to deliver complete rider control and comfort."

Now pointing at the Scooter segment, Mr Srinivasan stated that TVS has 14 percent share of the current market and, “We expect it to be around 18 per cent by the end of this fiscal across the country and 20 per cent in Karnataka.”

The company is trying its best up to level to register sales hike. As company is planning to commence sell through an online portal. TVS registered sales of 2.1lakh units this month which is 8% more than the sales of corresponding month last year.
