TVS Motor Company, which is the third largest motorcycle manufacturer in India, definitely deserves to be in country’s leading two-wheelers producer’s list. As the firm recently paid a big amount of 57 crores to its dealers across India to compensate the incurred losses due to BSIII products ban in the country. And at the same time, the giant manufacturer was also in updating phase of its products lineup for the new BS-IV emission norms and regulations. In this process, a number of models have been revived for the 2017 calendar year and a few has remained to get the same treatment.
Following the same run, the Chennai-based auto major lately teased a new incarnation of its ongoing Scooty Zest scooter, the 2017 new TVS Scooty Zest 110. From the teaser image, it has been witnessed that the scooter is going to get some cosmetic changes. However, from the dealers and nearest sources, it has been reported that the scooter will meet all the new BS-IV emission norms updates.
Apart from this, there is no official announcement from the bike maker about, what changes we are going to see. Expectations suggest components carried over from the current scooter, which comprises a backlit speedometer, LED tail lamp, stainless steel muffler guard, textured floorboard, dual seat colour option, and 19-litre under-seat storage with USB charging as standard. While the AHO feature is likely not to be there as it will be substituted from LED DRLs.
At powering front, the scooter might continue to get power from the same 109.7cc four-stroke petrol mill of the available Scooty Zest 110 in the market. Mated to an automatic gearbox transmission, the engine is rated to pump out 8.02bhp along with 8.7Nm. With these power specifications, the engine is blessed to return 62kmpl.
