Earlier this month, we have received an update regarding the launch of TVS Scooty Zest that the company might be launching its all new scooter on 20th August, 2014. Well, the company has kept its promise and so as we. The TVS Motor Company had officially revealed the all-new 110cc scooter. The launching event took place in Chennai and here we are bringing up the detailed specifications of the newly launched scooter.
The TVS Scooty Zest was first showcased at the Delhi Auto Expo, 2014 and now the automatic scooter has been launched with an attractive price tag of Rs 42,300 (Ex-Showroom Delhi). The manufacturer is looking forward to sell 10,000 units in the first month of its launch. However, the Scooty Zest has come aboard with many newfangled and blooming features.
Starting from its looks, the Zest seems to be inspired by Scooty Pep Plus but has carried a vigorous look, giving it a different appeal all over. The new shadowy front headlamp, colored switches, newly designed wedge shaped front blinkers and the badge of Scooty Zest 110 over left hand side of the front panel gives this scooter a youthful glance.
The recently launched scooter will be featuring tubeless tyres, white background instrument console and dual-textured broad leather seat coupled with silver-colored grab rails. The under-seat carriage receives 19-liters of storage capacity; a front glove box has also been there for you along with bag hook giving you more option for storage. The new body panel scheme has also added some more icing over the cake.
Coming towards the technical specifications, the Scooty Zest gets its power from the same engine powering Wego and Jupiter. The air-cooled, four-stroke, single-cylinder engine with an engine displacement of 109.7cc and coupled with a CVT-I transmission. The engine is capable enough to churn out a total power of 7.88 BHP and 8.7Nm of peak torque. The scooter carrying 5 liters of fuel tank capacity will be able to give 62KMPL fuel efficiency, as claimed by the manufacturer. Packed with all these specifications, the Zest can be able to accelerate up to 0 to 60 KMPH in just 11.1 seconds.
The highlighted ingredients from the rear section are the scooter's boomerang shaped rear blinkers coupled with LED tail lamp. The scooter weighs only 97KGS. It also features a maiden exhaust tail covered with a stainless steel muffler guard. The braking system has been taken care by drum brakes at the front and rear, both. The suspension of the scooter is featuring telescopic forks at front and hydraulic monoshock at the rear.
It also seems that the TVS Scooty Zest is a perfect blend of Jupiter and Wego. In terms of styling it belongs to the Scooty genre, although it borrowed the technical specifications from the aforementioned scooters of TVS. The newly introduced Zest will be coming in zestful colors. The color options are Fiery Red, Powerful Pink, Dynamic White, Daring Black and Terrific Turquoise.
