December 9 is not that far now, Korea eagerly awaits the day, which also marks the unveiling of Genesis EQ900 in the nation. This new Genesis EQ900 is a full-size luxury sedan from Genesis - Hyundai’s new luxury brand. The model as per reports is known by two names Genesis EQ900 or Genesis G90 (for international markets).

The company released official sketches on this November 13, looking at which we can derive that the exterior design of this upcoming model is highly influenced by Hyundai Vision G Coupe characterized by the large hexagonal grille, angular window line, LED taillamps and bold chrome accents. Dimensionally, it measures 5,205 mm by 1,915 mm by 1,495 mm, and has a wheelbase of 3,160 mm, while a long wheelbase version is 5,495 mm long with a wheelbase 3,450 mm. As per the company reports 51.7 % of the G90’s structure is made of advanced high-strength steel, which is 10 percent lighter and twice as strong as normal steel.
Under the hood. its confirmed to include three different variants: A 3.8-liter Lambda V6 GDi that gives 334 hp and 40.3 kg.m, a 3.3 Lambda V6 Turbo GDi with 370 hp and 52 kg.m and lastly, a range-topping 5.0 Tau V8 GDi with 425 hp and 53 kg.m.
All these variants are coupled to an 8-speed automatic gearbox and gets the HTRAC AWD system as standard. Hyundai has launched this model as an answer to models like Nissan, Infiniti and Toyota Lexus and it is the first of many products to come from the company which also plans to include models like Genesis G80 and Genesis G70 sedans in the near future, along with SUVs and other 2-door sports coupes in its portfolio.
