As per the Italian manufacturer Piaggio’s last month sales report, the Vespa 125 scooter is the leading volume generator in brand’s Indian product portfolio. Last month, the recorded sales for the Vespa 125cc was the highest ever that contributed to enhancing Piaggio’s sales by 53 percent.
The Vespa 125 scooters are the leading volume generator for the Italian group and it is pretty evident from the March 2018 sales numbers. Out of total 3918 scooters sold-out from Vespa, the 2,817 units were of Vespa 125 that accounts for 72 percent of overall sales. While, in YOY sales, the scooter in question witnesses the rise of 76 percent over March 2017. The Aprilia SR 150 that is another much-hyped scooter other than the Vespa 125 gets the sales of 1,936 units. The overall sales for the Italian marquee account for 6,688 scooters in March 2018, whose 42 percent is the Vespa 125 scooters.
Vespa offers scooters in 125cc or 150cc displacement, though the highly preferable ones are from the lowest 125cc displacement. The Vespa 125 scooters are available in the variants such as the LX 125, VXL 125 and the SXL 125. Also, there is no difference between the 125cc trims and their bigger displacement counterparts. The top end variants the VXL and the SXL models get the attributes like the digital console, tubeless tyres and the front disc brake from the top shelf.
