In order to promote the upcoming Ameo sedan, Volkswagen is coming up with various innovative and unusual ideas. At first, a video was surfaced asking the public about the name of the car and then a hint of the rear portion was teased. This time, the automaker has released a new teaser image that shows different elements of India depicting the rich culture of the country. Before the model is unveiled fully at the Auto Expo next week, the company is smartly rendering short glimpses of the vehicle.

Since this car has been designed specially for India with huge investment of INR 720 Crores, the teasers and video clips talk about integrating the German technology with Indian culture. The teaser released indicates that Ameo is a 4 meter compact sedan along with its outline. It is underpinned by the PQ25 platform that was utilised in Polo and the assembling will take place in Pune. The spy shots suggest that the rear will borrow tail lamps from Polo while the front will be quite sharper.
The cabin is likely to highlight a dual tone ambiance with Black & Beige and various equipments like multi-function steering wheel, 7-inch infotainment system with touchscreen interface and silver accents on the centre console will be found. Mechanically, the sedan will share a 1.5 litre TDI diesel motor with the Polo, which generates 90 PS and 230 Nm of maximum output. The petrol variant may be packed with a 1.2 litre unit paired to a 7-speed DSG in the top ranging models.
