Volkswagen is quite excited about its special edition which is going to be launched in India. As informed, the special edition will probably resemble the VW Ameo. As known, Volkswagen always rolls out a limited number of editions of the wide-market variants which are basically rooted on the Polo, which takes as mentioned hatchback, the Vento, and the Ameo. Lately, Volkswagen revealed Anniversary Editions of the Polo and the Ameo in September 2017.
The special edition named ‘Sport’ was seen on the frontier of Pune. The Ameo \'Sport\' edition is expected to launch in January 2018 with the aim to enhance the sales of the Volkswagen Ameo, which is probably not functioning and the automaker wished it would in the competition of sub-4 metre sedan segment. It only arranges to sell out approximately 2,000 units of the compact sedan edition each month. The Volkswagen Ameo Sport at the time of launch will compete for the Maruti Suzuki Dzire and the Ford Figo Aspire.

The leaked images of the Ameo Sport reveals that the car will get a dark color scheme to beautify the surface. It will also include the 15-inch alloy wheels like the regular Ameo although with a black treatment inclusion. The roof is also spotted black finish with a large decal on an inferior half portion of the doors. In addition, it takes a black colored rear lip spoiler in combination with a black bootlid applique. Considering the inside updates, it may include a new upholstery in the cabin segment with some updations at the front also.
As it is an Ameo’s special edition, the engine and other parts are anticipated to be the same. Therefore, it will carry on with the 1.2-litre petrol and the 1.5-litre diesel from the regular model as well. The previous model has a 5-speed manual, so we can expect the latter model with a 5-speed manual or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic setup.
