For the time being, Volkswagen Ameo has been reported to come out with only a petrol engine option, while the diesel unit is being held to get an update. In case you had missed the detail of powertrain, the former will be powered by a 1.2-litre trim that generates 75 Bhp of power and 110 Nm of torque while the latter gets a 1.5-lire, four-cylinder mill. After the update, it will make 112 Bhp of power against 89 Bhp. The same diesel motor will be seen under the bonnet of Vento and Facelifted Rapid.
As a transmission, the petrol engine will come mated to a 5-speed manual only, while the diesel will be coupled to a 5-speed manual as well as a 7-speed DSG gearbox. Talking more about this car, it was first unveiled a day before the 2016 Auto Expo in February and received very positive reviews from the car lovers.

It is company's first compact sedan to be launched in the country that could take place in June while the deliveries would commence from the July. Besides, the car will also be designed locally and will compete with other offerings in the segment like Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire, Ford Figo Aspire, Tata Zest, Honda Amaze and Hyundai Xcent.
Furthermore, the compact sedan is expected to be loaded with features like touch-screen infotainment system with mirror link for entertainment, while some of the other features like cruise control, automatic climate control, rain sensing camera, dual airbags, ABS and EBD as the comfort and safety.
