As the Volkswagen is bound to celebrate the Golf’s 40th birthday, the German carmaker has planned to celebrate the milestone by unveiling one of the most powerful Golf model till date. Yes! It’s true, the carmaker will unveil the Volkswagen Golf GTI Clubsport S at the 35th GTI Meet at Lake Worthersee located in Austria.
The Volkswagen Golf GTI Clubsport S is said to be the most powerful Golf production and it comes powered by a tuned up Clubsport engine i.e a 2.0-litre turbocharged inline-4 petrol engine, making it deliver a maximum power output of 310PS. Apart from the engine, the new Golf GTI Clubsport S has gone through vigorous chassis work in order to improve its dynamics in a better way. However, the automaker has configured the model as the fastest front wheel drive production model.
Also, the carmaker has decided to put on Golf GTI TCR for display along with the Golf GTI Clubsport S. The Golf GTI TCR is a 330PS race car which is likely to be used in the TCR international series. However, all the seven generations will be displayed at the vent, making it complete nostalgia. As per the sources, according to the Volkswagen tradition, Wolfsburg and Zwickau apprentices will showcase their Golf models at the GTI Meet. The Wolfsburg team shall be showcasing the Golf GTI Heartbeat, which pumps out 400PS. While, the Zwickau team will come up with the Golf R Variant.
