A comprehensive decarbonization program has been set across the world by the Volkswagen Group for its cars. The VW Group has rolled up its sleeves to achieve the target of full CO2-neutral balance set by them till 2050. And to achieve this goal, the company has to follow a few steps which will also follow three principles-
So for this, VW is leaving no stone unturned and is working very hard on every detail of the assignment.

Now the group has decided to launch approx. 70 new electric models instead of 50 which was planned earlier in the time span of ten years. So after 10 years, more than 22 million vehicles will be built on the electric platforms of the VW Group which are now only 15 million. To manufacture electric vehicles, the company will invest more than €30 billion by 2023. It is expected that the electric vehicle share will increase by 40 percent in the company by 2030. The group has a target to reduce the CO2 in the vehicle by 30 percent across the development by the year 2025 if compared to 2015.
The plan will firstly be executed on the Audi E-Tron and Porsche Taycan and will be the first to be the new-gen electric vehicles which will be manufactured this year (2019). Pre-bookings for these vehicles already started and till now 20,000 units has been booked. Other vehicles that will be launched with the same idea are the ID. CROZZ2, the Skoda Vision E2, the ID. BUZZ2, the Seat el-born, and the ID. VIZZION. To provide more battery to the vehicles, VW associated with the famous battery cell suppliers like the SKI, CATL, LG Chem, and Samsung.

To make the foots of the e-mobility stronger,Volkswagen associated with industry partners in IONITY to place 400 fast-charging stations on the major roads of Europe and highways till next year. Out of these 400 fast-charging stations, 100 will be installed in Germany. By this, we can say that there will be fast-charging stations inserted in every 120km. The new sub-division of VW - Elli (Electric Life) will provide the customers with wall boxes which can be used to charge the vehicle at home using by using green power and will debut in Germany. Along with all these, the company at employee car parks will offer 3,500 charging points in all the plants by which there will be more charging options at dealerships.
