Volvo's next generation XC90 SUV has been launched in the USA in an event held at LA motor show 2014. The car has been tweaked inside out and lot of other features are available and this facelift version is supposed to make its Indian debut early next year, while the bookings will open in the mid-year with delivery starting in penultimate quarter. From the outside, this new XC90 has been re-designed and has bolder and ultra rich looks, while inside it gets very cozy and comfortable to offer the uber luxury to all its passengers.
More on inside, it has new iPad touchscreen to minimize the button functions in the car, necessary buttons like AC, seat heating and others are available though. There is this new 3-spoke steering wheel as well with the expensive dashboard material, virtual instrument cluster and much more. Coming to its engine, the car has been powered both diesel and petrol engines and in the United States, new XC90 would get 2.0 Litre twin turbo petrol mill producing 316 bhp power and 400 Nm torque.
The XC90 will also get a hybrid avatar T8 variant which includes a 4 cylinder turbo and supercharged petrol powerhouse and an electric motor making the net output of 400 bhp and 640 Nm. All the variants of the car will get the same 8-speed automatic transmission system that sends power to all its wheels. The price, however hasn't been mentioned yet, but it would be disclosed anytime soon and we'll share that with you.
