This is what we’ve been waiting for so long. Finally, the manufacturer had dropped another word over the street. Recently, the latest version of the Yamaha Fazer has been found at one of the Yamaha dealership showroom located in Gurgaon. It's been more than 2 months since the company had launched the Version 2.0 of Yamaha FZ and FZ-S with FI. At the time of launch the firm didn't speak a word about updating the Fazer with the Fuel-Injection system and suddenly they've come-up with the face-lifted version, as Yamaha Fazer V 2.0 FI.
The updated version doesn’t bring any technical changes to the motorcycle. Alike to its cousin siblings of FZ Series, the facelift version had received Fuel-Injection system which enhances the riding quality and improves fuel-efficiency as well. The upcoming motorcycle carries pretty much different looks, if compared to the previous model, but still it had borrowed some features from the older version. The launch date of the upcoming motorcycle hasn't yet revealed by the manufacturer, though it seems that it will simply start selling the Yamaha Fazer V 2.0 FI without any official launch.
Talking about the cosmetic changes, the forthcoming sports motorcycle will be featuring a whole new tail lamp cluster holding number plate, new instrument console, newly designed silencer complimented with tyre hugger, a modified instrument console and stepped and split seat. As, the motorcycle is featuring a semi-front fairing, it has also been rescripted to add more styling feature and making it more aggressive.
Technically, the Yamaha Fazer V 2.0 FI will be receiving its power from the latest 149cc engine, which was designed a short time ago for the FI Series motorcycles. The Fuel-Injection equipped air-cooled, 4-stroke, single-cylinder, SOHC engine will be able to produce a total power of 13.1BHP and a peak torque of 12.8Nm. The freshly proposed Blue Core Technology is expected to increase the fuel efficiency up to 14%. The Yamaha Fazer V 2.0 FI is priced at Rs 94,305 (Ex-Showroom Price) and can be booked at an initial premium amount of Rs 6000.
