However, now it becoming some clear as Mr. Roy Kurian, vice president, sales and marketing, Yamaha India share his views on the company's further step in the India market. He hinted the arrival of Yamaha M-Slaz to the Indian market in coming future that indicates the automaker is preparing something to serve the Indian crowd and fill all the gaps by the elimination of products from the lineup but with some new twist.
However, Yamaha had a good share in 150cc segment in Indian motoring market and the FZ and SZ range of Yamaha is continue to serve in the 150cc commuter segment. And Yamaha M-Slaz will get the place between these prominent commuters and popular Yamaha’s offering in sports segment YZF-R15 which hold price tag nearer to 1 Lakh rupee.
Mr. Roy Kurian, while talking about the surprisingly launched MT-09 at the departed Delhi Auto Expo in February 2016, indicated the introduction of M-slaz in India in coming future, which is already present in the Asian market. Mechanically, M-Slaz shares some of the component from the YZF-R15 so that would be financially cheaper to produce for the company and the price tag that M-Slaz will carry be in between the price of FZ range and R15.
