Yamaha Motorcycles has launched a new scrambler-looking motorcycle in the United States with a price sticker of 8699 US Dollars (INR 5.8 lakh). This nostalgic bike is going to take a seat with rest of the models in Sport Heritage range of Yamaha. A couple of months of earlier, the Japanese giant has revealed the said tourer along with a video, which showcased this dirt motorbike entirely.
The new scrambler SCR950 does have a retro feel, which one can witness by the number-plate-styled side covers, wire-spoked aluminum rims, and fork gaiters. To add more, a 2-into-1 exhaust pipe wrapped with an upswept muffler and stretched low-profile seat make it look a bit more retro-ish. While the automaker has done a fine job in the design segment of the bike, it has not even skipped a single shot in keeping the SCR950 loaded with the technical stuff. Hosting a bunch of modern touches such as an LCD speedometer, LED taillight, latest brakes with wave-type rotors, simple fuel tank, and a carbon-fibre-core belt final drive certainly maintains its Scrambler charm.
Accelerating the SCR950 is a 942cc, air-cooled V-twin engine, fuel-injected motor with four valves per cylinder. In order to keep the torque healthy at the low end, the motorcycle has got a perfect engine. It also features a double-cradle frame with footpegs mounted at the center. The wide and tall handlebars flaunt the retro elegance with a vogue touch.

Two available colors for the bike are charcoal silver and rapid red. Both the shades have acquired racing-inspired graphics colored in red, white, and black. When it comes to the Indian launch, the automaker has been tight-lipped at the moment. Still, if the launch takes place in the country, the pricing would be significantly higher because of our taxation policies.
