Yamaha MT-07 Reached Indian Shores for Testing Purpose, Launch Soon

It's been a very long time, since the Yamaha has updated its Indian product portfolio with bigger players. The players like Yamaha FZ 16 and Yamaha R15 has successfully depicted their picture as the most-affordable performance sports motorcycles in India. By having a look at the other existing performers from Triumph, DSK Benelli and DSK Hyosung; it seems that the Japanese automaker is also planning to introduce the big boys in the country. Recently, the Yamaha has imported its well-famed MT-07, a naked street-fighter sports motorcycle in India.

In order to compete with these international competitors, the Yamaha has brought down the MT-07 to India for R&D purpose. Accompanying with the V-Max and the Yamaha R1 in the high-performance sports motorcycle segment, the Yamaha MT-07 could get launched soon in the country. The Yamaha has launched the MT07 at the EICMA Motorcycle Show, 2013. The middleweight naked sports motorcycle is powered by an in-line motor carrying an engine displacement of 689cc. The twin-cylinder engine is tuned to generate a maximum power of 74 BHP @ 9000 revs and achieves a peak torque of 68 Nm @ 6500 RPM. The 689cc displaced engine is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission.

Talking about the looks of the Yamaha MT-07, it is nowhere less than any angry beast, which always looks ready to race against its competitors. The combative looks of the naked street-fighter, designed by the Yamaha boffins, carries a head-turner look. With a full fuel tank, the naked motorcycle weighs 179 kgs. The claimed top speed achieved by the motorcycle is 190 KMPH.
