The highly anticipated, third generation Yamaha R15 V3 has been spied doing its test rounds in Indonesia. After waiting for a pretty long time, whispers are burning up that the 150cc commuter is likely to make its global debut during this festive season. Once launched, V3 is going to compete with the likes of the Honda CBR150R, which is again anticipated to be launched in some time this year. From the bulk of spy shots that are transferred over the internet, we can expect that the Tourer would be getting its design cues from the newly launched M-Slaz.

As far as the engine is concerned, no changes have been perceived on that side. Under the hood, there will be the same 149cc liquid-cooled, 4-valve, SOHC, fuel injected motor churning out 16.76BHP of maximum power @ 8500 RPM and 15NM of maximum torque @ 7500 RPM. The 6-speed gearbox remained unchanged via, which power is transferred to the rear wheel.
Exterior-wise, the third-generation R15 V3 will get LED headlights, LED tail lamp, high tail exhaust pipe, upside-down forks and a fully digital instrument cluster. Apparently, the split up seats are persisted intact with some more cushioning stuff.
Back in the year 2008, Yamaha introduced its first generation R15, which impressively touched the hearts of many bike enthusiasts. In September 2011, the V2.0 was launched undertaking some cosmetic upgradations and that too gained similar popularity. Recently, the naked street fighter Yamaha MT-09 was launched at the epic 2016 Auto Expo. It clearly gives us a sign that the Japanese auto giant is in continuation to rule the market with its quick and highly reliable machines, and so it does with R15 V3.
