Yamaha R25 gives tough competition to Honda CBR 250R

After being in rumors for so long, Yamaha has launched its most awaited bike Yamaha R25 last month in Indonesia. Yamaha saw record break bookings for their new bike as they have received 2800 online booking entries within 25 hours of its launch. These numbers will obviously heat up the competition in the market of super bikes, as recently Honda launched its all new Honda CBR250R in the Indonesian market.

Yamaha R25 Specs

Yamaha R25 featuring a parallel-twin, 8-Valve, liquid-cooled 249 cc engine providing 36PS at 12,000 RPM and a torque of 22.5Nm at 10,000 RPM. The whole power generated from the engine will get transmitted to the rear wheel. It has 6-speed gearbox transmission. The braking system of the bike has been taken care by single disc brakes with 298mm in front and 220mm in rear. The suspensions of the bike has a telescopic forks at front and a mono-shock at the rear. The bike weighs 166 Kg. The price ranges from Rs. 2 Lakhs(INR) to Rs. 2.5 Lakhs(INR).

Honda CBR 250R

CBR 250R is powered by a single-cylinder, liquid-cooled fuel injected engine which gives engine displacement of 249cc and generates 26BHP at 8500RPM and a maximum torque of 22.9Nm at 7000RPM. The engine is coupled with a 6-speed transmission with a pattern of 1 down and 5 up. This bike also gets telescopic suspension in the front forks and 5-step adjustable mono-shock suspension at the rear. Honda CBR has disc brakes with 296mm in the front and 220mm at the rear. The weight of this bike is 167Kg.

Well, we can see the tough competition between both the bikes as the new Honda CBR 250R cuts its price from 48.95 million Indonesian Rupiah (Rs. 2.48 Lakhs) to 46.8 million Indonesian Rupiah, after the launch of Yamaha R25. If the competitors will have to stay in the market of super or performance bikes, they have to think out of the globe because Yamaha had already won the hearts of the people around the globe.
