Yamaha Refreshed its Indian Scooter Range with Blue-Core Technology

The Japanese motorcycle maker has just re-vitalized the entire scooter range offered in India. The scooters offered by the Yamaha Motor Company are Yamaha Alpha, Ray and Ray Z. The manufacturer rejuvenates the hearts of the vehicles by introducing company's patent Blue Core Technology in their engine. Now, while incorporating with the Blue Core Technology, the power plants of the scooters will now be capable enough to fetch out an amazing performance. The technology was first introduced in the Yamaha's naked street-fighters, FZ and FZ-S, and later they become FZ-FI V2.0 and FZ-S FI V2.0.

Talking about the Yamaha's Blue Core Technology, it helps engine to boost the power and efficiency. Achieving the very same technology, it increases the fuel-efficiency and gears up for better acceleration. After introducing new technology in the scooters, the company claimed to achieve a better mileage of 66 KMPL, which is more than the previous mileage, i.e. 62 KMPL. The improved figures have been achieved by installing nickel spark plugs, TPS (Throttle Position Setting) and BS carburetor settings. Apart from these mechanical changes, the scooters have gone through a little bit of cosmetic changes as well.

The introduction of the Blue Core Technology and the cosmetic changes directly affects the pricing section of the scooters. The revised price of the Yamaha Alpha is Rs 49,939, Yamaha Ray is priced at Rs 47,805 and the Yamaha Ray Z will now cost Rs 48,936. All the above mentioned prices are of Ex-Showroom Delhi.

The Alpha, Ray and Ray Z are powered by an air-cooled, four-stroke motor carrying an engine displacement of 113cc. The single-cylinder engine is capable to generate a maximum power of 7.1 BHP and achieves a peak torque of 8.1 Nm. The Yamaha Alpha will now be available with a new paint scheme of "Gleaming Gold" and the Ray Z comes with "Cyan Splash" color.
