Yamaha has ripped the packaging of its forthcoming maxi-scooter in the 125cc segment called 2018 Yamaha X-Max 125 in front of the global audience. The earlier model of the same has witnessed a great response of more than 1,40,000 units sold across the world since its debut in 2016. The major reason behind rolling out the model with 2018 model year updates is the more stringent Euro-IV emission norms. Other than this, the model is also rated to receive a host of mechanical updates. The changes include traction control and a dual-channel ABS. other attachments which help in hassle-free ride comprises of new LED headlamps, keyless ignition, adjustable windscreen and a dual-LCD instrument console. Mounted on the large front telescopic fork, the X-Max runs on large 15-inch wheels. While the braking is under the care of disc brakes at both wheels. The large front apron, windscreen and stepped seats are other highlights of the scooter.

Under the seat, the X-Max now features improved 124cc liquid-cooled and fuel injected engine that is Euro-IV compliant and rated to return excellent fuel economy. In association with a CVT transmission, the mill is able to generate the maximum power of 14.27PS of power at 8750 rpm along with 12Nm of torque at 6500rpm. Tipping at 175kgs in weighing scale, the maxi-scooter is available in four colour options of light grey, dark grey, red and blue.
For the Indian market, the engine of the scooter can get refinements for the better economy also the top end features such as traction control and ABS miss out from the India-bound model which will help the manufacturer in keeping products price in check. The X-Max hit the Indian ground below one lakh, it could be a winner in the segment.
