The Japanese automaker, Yamaha may launch a 250cc motorcycle in the Indian market. The motorcycle will be based on a naked Streetfighter theme and named as Yamaha FZ25. It will take place in the quarter-liter segment and will become the second street bike in the 250cc after Kawasaki Z250. As per the reports, the FZ25 will be carrying the price tag nearer to Rs. 1.7 lac (on-road) in the Indian motoring market. Other than this, a 110cc commuter motorcycle is also in the queue from the Japanese stable to strengthen the entry level product portfolio in the country.

Cosmetically, The Yamaha FZ25 is expected to share the body cues and detailing from the Yamaha FZ1 to continuing the same aggressive naked Streetfighter persona. However, the mechanical aspects to powering the naked one is anticipated to extract power from a 250cc, air-cooled engine that will probably churn out the power of 46 bhp with the contribution of six-speed manual transmission unit.

The introduction of FZ25 will be a supportive hand, altogether with existing YZF-R3 in the 300cc segment, to get a good hold and increase in sales in this genre. Moreover, the automaker has unveiled its lot of products at the recent 2016 Delhi Auto Expo. The major attractions at the Yamaha booth during the auto event comprises Yamaha YZF-R1M, Yamaha N-Max scooter and Valentino Rossi’s MotoGP bike. While, the surprise launch of MT-09 totally stunned the audience at the auto event.
