Yamaha YZF R1 to make its debut at 2014 EICMA

Yamaha is readying itself to give a huge surprise to all its Yamaha YZF R1 fans. Just a few days back, the company has released a teasing video, which was showcasing the nice curves and cues of an upcoming motorcycle. The upcoming motorcycle would be a liter-class Yamaha YZF R1 2015. The new supersports model will be making its official debut at the upcoming international motorcycle show, EICMA, 2014 which will be going to held in Milan, Italy. The EICMA will be taking place starting from 6th November, 2014 which will continue till 9th November. The upcoming event at Milan, Italy is the world's biggest motorcycle show, which is purely dedicated to the two-wheeler industry.

Projecting lights on the upcoming liter-class supersports motorcycle, Yamaha YZF R1, the manufacturer had added a slogan to the video which says, "The Beginning of the New Era". However, the curves showcased in the teaser video are more than enough to give a spark to ignite the excitement of the YZF R1 lovers. The Japanese has scheduled this liter-class motorcycle on 3rd November, 2014; ahead of the official beginning of the EICMA show. The upcoming supersports motorcycle will be expected to give tough rivalry to the recently introduced Supercharged engined motorcycle, Kawasaki Ninja H2, which is capable to churn out a total of 296 BHP of power.

The Japanese manufacturer has claimed that they have produced an internal development scale, which has been introduced in the latest motorcycle. This would be the company's in-house built technology, named as Development Level Z. The 2015 Yamaha YZF R1 will be featuring a four-cylinder cross-plane, liter-class engine, which is rumored to generate a total power of 230PS and comes mated to a dual-clutch transmission. Alike Kawasaki Ninja H2; Yamaha might also be planning to introduce a road-legal version of this liter-class motorcycle with less power. It is also believed that the upcoming motorcycle will be blessed with an improved Traction Control and Electronic suspension.

With the help of the teaser video, it can be seen that the Yamaha YZF R1 has received single-sided swingarm, adjustable Ohlins forks and large brake calipers. And, the icing over the cake is that the Yamaha YZF R1 will be tested by Valentino Rossi, the World Racing Champion of MotoGP. So, let's wait till 3rd November, as it seems that the Japanese will be coming along with lots of surprises.
