Yamaha YZF R15 V3 Expected Launch in Second Half of 2017

Yamaha YZF R15 V3, the third generation model of the highly appreciated sports runner in the 150cc category, has recently mark its debut in the Indonesian market. Creating a lot of buzz in the sports biking enthusiasts there, the YZF R15 V3 is likely to hit the Indian ground sometimes in the second half of 2017, however, the Indian arm of the Japanese auto major has not disclosed the official launch of the motorcycle in question. Here, the YZF-R15 had been introduced in 2008 and it gained last upgrade in 2011. Now as i think, it’s the right time to refresh this 150cc sportsbike with the third generation upgrades.

As from the online surfaced images of this new generation YZF R15 V3 model, it has been found that the motorcycle has received changes at both the cosmetic and mechanical front.

Apparently, wearing a more aggressive stance, the R15 V3 now features new sleek headlamps and tail lamps, LED turn indicators, upside down front forks and new alloy wheels. In addition to that, the expectations are the upcoming bike could also get the fitment of an LCD panelmeter with shift indicator.



While, at the powering end, the new YZF R15 V3 will get the cruising power from a 155cc liquid cooled SOHC single-cylinder engine that in association with a six-speed gearbox transmission, is liable to transmit the generated maximum power of 19bhp along with 14.7Nm of peak torque to the rear wheel. A number of new features, we can also see on the new motorcycle will comprise VVA technology, hazard lamp, assist and slipper clutch and rear wider tyres.

In India, the price for the Yamaha YZF-R15 V3 is not disclosed yet, still it is expected to get a price sticker tagged with amount somewhat around Rs 1.6 lakh. With this price, the next-generation sports runner will go head to head with the likes of Honda CBR 150R and KTM RC200 in the country.
