Olympus has introduced the firmware update for its E-M1 flagship camera, which was available in only black color. The company has also unveiled its silver shade variant and some of the greatest inclusions while updating the firmware. The firmware 2.0 update has bought hand full, in fact bucket full of new aspects out of which Digital Shift and Live Composite Mode are few to name. This update will also enable the device to tether the live shoot over the USB cable to the computer system. User can view as well control the functioning of the camera via computer itself. The integrated software (Olympus Capture Software) makes it enable to perform this task, while The Olympus capture application allows user to monitor the performance over the system.
The Digital Shift allows user to manipulate the line blend in live view of trapezoidal distortion. This happens in accordance with the firmware update of the camera and doesn’t require any post processing and/or lens shift. The camera boasts the world’s first 5-axis Image Stabilization which encapsulates TruePic VII image processor to result the superb quality pictures. The Dual FAST AF, splash proof, dust proof and freeze proof body make this gadget usable in all conditions and inclinations.
The live Composite Mode adds the convenience of viewing the long exposures in previews. The new inclusion of art filters adds creativity to the user’s view of angle. Now, the gadget holds a total of 14 art filters with addition of vintage for classic looks and partial color for single point focus, which will get the photography view to the next level of imaging. Apart from these updates, the zoom function and display time lag has also been elevated significantly. The camera can be grabbed for $1400.
