Acer has unveiled two new Windows 10 sporting devices as the convertible and all-in-one PCs in its flagship Aspire series. The Aspire series laptops are named differently with different features to sport. The Aspire R14 convertible notebook and Aspire Z3-700 all-in-one PC are the two devices launched by the company. Both the devices will come with Windows 10 operating system on board and come with a lot of proprietary Acer features.
The Aspire R14 is expected to start selling in North America, later this month for $699 (approx. Rs 45,500), whereas the Aspire Z3-700 will be selling in the Europe, Middle East and Asia region by the end of the year for €599 (approx. Rs 44,500). All the zones will get the privilege by the company to withstand user needed devices for the first time. Acer helps in cancelling background noise and improves speech accuracy for better Cortana integration by providing the feature like Acer Purified Voice with a special digital signal processor (DSP) on both the devices.
Speaking at the launch, Jason Chen, corporate president and CEO of Acer said, "With Windows 10, we can now deliver a unique and consistent experience across our comprehensive product portfolio, be it notebooks, desktops, tablets or smartphones, and empower users to do great things with more personal and human technology."
The Aspire R14 notebook sports 14-inch full HD display to choose between Intel’s 6th generation Core i7-6500U or Core i5-6200U processors which has Intel HD graphics 520. It is provided with MU-MIMO wireless technology to improve download speeds as compared to other 802.11ac products. As it has 18.5mm slim form factor so, it only supports up to 8GB of DDR3L RAM that can be added only up to 512GB SSD with no option for adding HDD.
On the other hand, Aspire Z3-700 all-in-one has 17.3-inch Full HD display and comes with a dedicated battery section which Acer claims lasts for 5 hours when the AiO is not connected to a wall port. It has a 10-point multi touch support for Windows 10. Weighing around 2Kg, it is housed with either a Pentium N3700 or a Celeron N3150 with support for up to 8GB of DDR3 RAM, up to 256GB SSD or 500GB HDD.
