According to "The Wall Street Journal", Google will introduce a new tablet under "Project Tango" and expected to go under production by the coming month.
The coming tablet features a 7 inch display screen with two rear facing cameras, advanced imaging software that will capture 3D images of the objects surrounding and with infrared depth sensors too.
Google is developing smart devices under Project Tango that integrates advanced visual processor. The previous prototypes had custom-built hardware and software that can track motion of 3D devices creating a map altogether. These sensors will help to make over a quarter million 3D measurements updating its position and direction to combine real-time data in to a single 3D model. These device senses live space and movements, understand and recognize it.
Sources from the Journal say that in the month of February, Google released a smartphone of this prototype featuring advance visual sensors which gives you 3D map of surrounding devices.
By the start of next month, Google is planning to produce about 4000 prototypes of this type and rumors are there that it could debut its upcoming tablet from Project Tango ahead Google I/O 2014, which is going to held on 25-26 June at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, California.
