The motherboard which is a witness of teaching countless number of people – the Raspberry Pi has met with a new upgrade. The Foundation has upgraded it and named it Raspberry Pi 2 Model B. This upgrade has not only brought the hardware improvement, but also come with Windows 10 support.

The major replacement this board has received at its center. The heart of this upgraded Raspberry Pi has replaced tee-totally with 900MHz quad-core ARM Cortex-A7 processor and 1GB RAM. Other than such tweaks, it remains identical with its previous model. 4 USB ports, a Micro SD card slot on a tiny PCB. The Raspberry Pi 2 is meant for education purpose, especially to teach coding and create electronics project. The similar form factor makes it capable in fitting into the existing one as stated by Adrian Kingsley-Hughes in his ZDNet post.

Matt Richardson said, "You're going to see the most celebration from the hackers and the makers because they're clamoring for better performance." See the video for getting a broader look of Raspberry Pi 2 Model B.

Microsoft on the other hand said that it is working on a custom version of its Windows 10 OS that will support Raspberry Pi 2. The Redmond giant has also said that it will bring this version free for maker community via Windows Developer Program for IoT.
