Huawei Launched MediaPad M2 Tablet, Potent Hardware in Metal Shell

After diversifying the array of smartphones, finally Huawei has turned its focus towards the segment of tablets and announced a metal-clad device: MediaPad X2. Apparently, this Android 5.0 Lollipop-based gadget has been debuted in Huawei Pop Up Gallery in Paris, France. However, Chinese tech giant is yet to catalog its new creation on the official website, but by the courtesy of a French website: lesnumeriques.com, almost specifications as well as some images of handheld have come into view.

Discussing about the facets of tablet, inclusion of 64-bit 2GHz octa-core Kirin 930 processor alongside Android 5.0 Lollipop covered with company's own EMUI 3.0 makes it identical to MWC 2015 participant: MediaPad X2. This novel scion of MediaPad lineup features anodized aluminum shell and bears an 8-inch IPS display that produces a pixel resolution of 1920 x 1200p. This invention of Huawei accommodates a huge 4,800mAh battery in its 7.8mm thin shell.

On connectivity front, it encompasses Wi-Fi b/g/n/ac dual-band, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, NFC and 4G LTE options, which are also the trump cards of MediaPad M2. Memory-wise, gadget is paired with 2GB RAM and expected to come in two internal storage option: 16GB and 32GB with microSD support. In terms of imaging, device is fitted with an 8-megapixel rear shooter with LED flash alongside a 2-megapixel front camera.

As per source, Huawei MediaPad M2 is expected to go on sale in France initially in June with a price tag of €349 (Roughly Rs. 24, 866). Whereas, a report of hdblog.it suggests that price of the tab may vary according to configurations, where WiFi-only version will carry a price tag of €279 and 4G model will cost €349.
