InFocus Launched Kangaroo, Phone-sized Portable Windows 10 Desktop

The technology is taking a leap with increasing innovations along with minimizing size. The same phenomenon is executed by InFocus Company. The company has launched a PC-on-a-stick which is dubbed as Kangaroo. This innovation is made for all those who don't heed on the computers being a bulky stuff to hold.

Technically, the pocket desktop measure 124mm in length, 80.5mm in width, and 12.9mm in girth. These specs make it the world's smallest portable desktop computer ever made. This measurement makes it somewhat similar to a smart-phone. For connectivity, it has been blessed with one USB 2.0 port, one USB 3.0 port, an HDMI port, and a DC power port. In concern to security, a Windows Hello Fingerprint sensor is also featured within the assembly.

As far as the specifications is concerned, Kangaroo is powered by a quad-core Intel 'Cherrytrail' Atom x5-Z8500 processor clocked at 1.44GHz, with a Burst frequency of 2.24GHz. This miniature desktop is also provided with 2GB of LPDDR3 RAM and 32GB eMMC storage. Which can further be enhanced up to 128GB via microSDXC. The company also claims that the device is having an inbuilt battery which is capable to offer a non-stop power supply to the device for four hours. Being the era of Windows 10, this miniature device too runs on Windows 10. Apart from this, Wi-Fi 802.11 and Bluetooth 4.0 wireless connectivity is also provided in it.

Coming to its price, Kangaroo is given a price tag of $99 (roughly Rs 6500). But it is presently available for purchase in US only via Newegg.com online retailer. Where the market is already flooded with many miniature portable computers, this blend of technology will surely attract the user for being a portable and Windows 10 based desktop.

For all those who are fond of running high-end graphics games onto their desktop, this devise may not fulfill their requirement. It is sufficient enough to handle web browsing, watching HD videos, playing casual games etc.
