To turn TV into PC to make your work easy, Intel’s biggest invention, the Compute Stick has been reached to Indian soil. Well, the tech giant has always got success in luring customers, it would maintain its history hopefully with this PC-on-Stick. Well, the company has given it Rs. 9,999 price tag and made it available on Flipkart and other Intel tech providers across India.
Well, this price tag is for its Windows version. No pricing detail has been found yet for its Linux version. Market has numbers of Pc-on-Stick devices, but Intel has a value in Indian market. So it is expected that this Compute Stick could get better attention than the available HDMI dongles. This device is compatible with monitors, displays, and TVs having HDMI port. When the stick plugs into the HDMI port of any Television, then your TV begun behaving like a computer system.

It is powered by a 1.83GHz Intel Atom quad-core processor. Company has brought two variants of its Compute Stick. India has also got both – one with Windows 8.1 OS and another with Ubuntu 14.04 OS support. Let’s begin with the Windows based stick which has 32GB storage and 2GB RAM whilw the Ubuntu variant has 8GB storage and 1GB RAM.

Both variants have Wi-Fi(802.11bgn) and Bluetooth 4.0 support for wireless connectivity and USB 2.0 port, and microSD card slot for physical connectivity. You can also connect mouse and keyboard to device through Bluetooth.
To compete with Intel’s HDMI stick, Indian market has native place’s iBall Splendo stick which is based on Windows 8.1 platform and is priced at Rs 8,999.
