Microsoft has made the collaboration with HP India and introduced a new tablet for student which will fulfill their requirements. It has presented a new Windows tablet which is manufactured for engineering and management students, named as Omni 10. The tablet is priced around Rs 29,999. HP Omni 10 features 10.1 inch display with 1920x1000 pixels resolution and protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The device is 9.9 mm thick and weighed half a kilogram. The phone is embedded with Intel Atom Z3770 quad core processor and 2GB RAM along with 32GB inbuilt storage. It is crafted with microSD card slot which has storage capacity upto 64GB.
Omni 10 sports a rear snapper of 8MP clarity along with 2MP front facing camera. Device comes incorporated with many connectivity options like WiFi, USB, Bluetooth and HDMI. The operating system it supports is Windows 8.1. The tablet is loaded with educational content from Pearson and Microsoft Office. The company has previously launched Acer Iconia W4-820 for school students in partnership with Acer, MBD Group and Tata Teleservices.
"These customised tablets will make learning interactive and immersive and is part of our continuous efforts to make education more inclusive through technology. We believe that these are game changing devices," Arun Rajamani (Microsoft India Head) said.
The tablet is paired with HP, Pearson and Microsoft's content which is designed for students for learning purpose. You can consider it as student tablet. It is available on monthly EMI of Rs 2,990 for 1 year. It comes loaded with 100 e-books, theory papers, 50 GB mail box and 25 GB OneDrivePro.
