Apple has brought several new inventions in the event and along with them, the cheapest Mac has also revamped with few new updates. The Mac mini though hasn’t received any design changes. It’s still a metal slab like device as before. The internal parts have updated; the Intel’s 4th generation Haswell Core processor and Intel HD Graphics 5000. These would be enough to enhance the graphics performance from all previous Mac minis. The refreshed one is now ready to hit the Indian soil at reduced price tag.
Three models of this new Mac mini are out for Indian customers. The first model gets the dual-core Intel Core i5 CPU with turbo boost speed of upto 2.7GHz and Intel HD Graphics 5000. 4GB of RAM and a 500GB hard drive is also there. It will be priced at Rs. 36,990 only.
The second model can be garbed at Rs. 49,990 which is also powered by dual-core Intel Core i5 CPU with Turbo Boost speed of up to 3.1GHz. 1TB of Fusion Drive storage option is also available for techie people. However, the 256GB solid-state drive can also be select for this model. The 8GB of RAM and Intel Iris graphics are also some other features that increases the count of digits for price tag of this Mac device.
The highest-priced model of Mac mini also takes power from dual-core Intel Core i5 CPU with Turbo Boost speed of 3.3GHz. Pairing the 16GB of RAM and Intel Iris graphics under the hood, the system also has the option of 1TB Fusion Drive. Although, the choice of 256GB, 512GB or 1TB of solid-state storage is also available. This high-end model will be price at Rs. 69,990.
Comprehensively, all the models are limited to dual core; quad core is far apart from them. The new Mac mini differs at some design points also like two Thunderbolt 2 ports can be found on rear side to connect external peripherals. 802.11ac Wi-Fi standard has also been added for the same. The portable system because of its size and the absence of screen makes its cheaper device than others and give the au-courant an option of grab the refreshed Mac mini.
