After Samsung's attempt of hole-and-corner, the uncanny tablet of Korean Company has finally gone official. The device has been introduced as Samsung Galaxy Tab S. The tablet with 8.4-inch and 10.5-inch screen size variants have landed in the event of Galaxy Premier 2014 which was held in Madison square garden, New York City.
The tablet has been holding a whooping factor which creates hoopla in the tablet market and that whooping factor is its screen. As the company has been developing its own display for a long time for its tablet segment but now the company has given the opportunity to AMOLED to furbish the device which was enjoying the vacation from long time. The device gets a Super AMOLED WQXGA display, which offers the screen resolution of 2560x1600 pixels that is made for offering more colors, rich contrast and many more.
The 10.5-inch tablet gives better output on 288ppi pixel density while the 8.4-inch offers the pixel density of 359ppi for better screen output. But, AMOLED lacks in providing backlight which is required by almost all devices. Here are the specifications of the tablets for all spec-a-holic.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S is embedded with Exynos 5 Octa chip (4-core 1.9 GHz and 4-core 1.3 GHz) or a Snapdragon 800 running 4-core which are clocked at 2.3 GHz. It is coupled with Android 4.4 Kit Kat OS. The imaging part of the device is blessed with rear snapper of 8MP clarity and a 2.1MP front shooter.
The 8.4 inch tablet is packed with 4900mAh battery and the 10.5 is backed by 7900mAh battery. Storage front gets 3GB of RAM along with 16 or 32GB storage variants. MicroSD card support provides more space to store more and more data on a single device which limits upto 128GB.
The tablet has arrived in Wi-Fi only and LTE-capable option. Presenting the fingerprint scanner, it has been turned into the first tablet to come with this technology. It is expected that the tablet will go on sale in August for Indian market.
