Samsung launched its smartphones and smart watches at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. The buzz got for the new Samsung S5 phone and the other thing which also got notice is new 12.2-inch tablet Samsung Galaxy Pro which is announced in Singapore. The goal of the company for launching the tablet is to straddle the gap between a normal laptop and simple computer.
The tablet is available in 12.2-inch which is the biggest screen for any tablet in the market beating the size of iPad. If we talk about the specifications of the tablet than it comprises of quad-core A7 CPU, 1,600x2,560 screen resolution with 32GB memory support which could be expandable upto 64GB, 9,500mAh battery, 8MP camera with 4X digital zoom plus 2MP front-facing camera for video conferencing . It also supports Wi-Fi and LTE and loaded with Android 4.4.2 (KitKat) OS.
Company launches four models of two series that is for Samsung Pro and Samsung Tab, the size of four models varies as – Note Pro 12.2 and Tab Pro 12.2, 10.1 and 8.4. "The Note Pro and Tab Pro create a more meaningful user experience at the intersection of work and play,” said Nanda Ramachandran, vice president of emerging business at Samsung Telecommunications America. Price is not yet announced but it is expected that it would be launched within the range of 50,000 to 55,000 INR.
The tablet comes with the latest feature including pre-loaded apps such as Smart Switch App, through which data can be transferred from external devices to the Galaxy Pro. And with the help of Side Sync App, user will be able to view Note 3 screen on tab and should be able to drag and drop the files. This feature is only available to devices which support Kit-Kat and it's above OS. Another App which comes preloaded with it is Cisco's WebEx Meetings Platform for web conferencing and video chatting.
If we talk about the functionality than, it responds swiftly to taps and swipes. Video plays smoothly on the wide screen without any stoppage and error. Tablet case also includes Samsung'S Pen, which allows us to use the numerous features such as handwriting-to-text, Air Command, and also the Pen Window.
For the customers there are also some additional accessories provided with it such as Book Cover and a Samsung Bluetooth keyboard but the user need to pay extra for these accessories.
