Sony, the Japanese leading conglomerate, has launched its latest E-Ink tablet, dubbed as the DPT-RP1. This latest Sony tablet comes with a large 13.3-inch display having a screen resolution of 1650x2220 pixels, along with a stylus pen that can magnetically clip to the side of the tablet. The company has also claimed that the device is quite handy for making quick annotations.
The latest launched tablet comes with a thickness of a stack of 30 pages of paper and is being claimed to be the thinner, lighter, and faster than previous generations tablets. This Sony E-Ink tablet has been priced at JPY 80,000 (Approx. Rs. 47,000) and is all set to go on sale from 5th June. The latest Sony tablet has been released for the Japan-only and company has no say on its international release yet. The newly launched Sony DPT-RP1 E Ink tablet is only capable of reading PDF files and the company will get the users covered with a bundled Digital Paper app for the desktop which will convert websites and other documents to PDF format for viewing on the tablet.

This latest Sony tablet has been powered by a quad-core Marvell IAP140 64-bit application processor and comes bundled with 16Gb of internal storage. It has been claimed by the company that the tablet is capable of saving more than 10,000 files. The Sony DPT-RP1 E Ink tablet has a dimension of 02.6x224x5.9 mm and weighs 349 grams. The connectivity options included in the device are Wi-Fi IEEE 802.11a / b / g / n / ac MIMO and Bluetooth 4.2. Sony has said that the tablet can be fully charged in 5.5 hours and that will last for a month.
