Xiaomi, the leading Chinese smart gadget manufacturing firm has introduced it's all new Mi Pad 3 tablet. The tablet has already been listed on the company’s Chinese website in Champagne Gold variant with a price tag of Rs CNY 1,499 (Rs 14,100 approx). The Mi Pad 3 is blessed with the same design language as its predecessor Mi Pad 2, but it comes with some hardware improvements.
The Mi Pad 3 features an all-metal casing just like its previous variant and packs a 7.9-inch Retina display of resolution 2048x1536 pixels and 326 ppi of pixel density. It is powered by paired with 4GB LPDDR3 of RAM and 64GB of non-expandable memory.
In term of optics, the handset is blessed with a 13-megapixel rear camera with f/2.2 aperture and 1080p HD support. It also comes with a 5-megapixel front camera with f/2.0 aperture for selfie enthusiasts. It is backed up by a 6600mAh battery which is capable of delivering 867 hours of standby time and runs MIUI 8 based on Android Marshmallow.
Connectivity options on the board include Wi-Fi 802.11ac, USB Type-C, Bluetooth v4.1, and GPS. The measurements of the tablet remain the same at 200.4x132.6x6.95mm, still, it weighs a bit more than its previous version, which is probably due to its larger battery.
The company has unveiled just a single colour of its Mi Pad 3 and there is still no word on its global availability. Notably, the Mi Pad 2 was not launched in the country, so it is unlikely the new tablet will be available soon in the country.
