How to control irritating twitter users from your timeline by using Mute Feature?

People of today's technology world are now addicted with social networking websites. Twitter is the one among them. Most of people use Twitter for social sharing and some of them are addicted to. But sometimes it raises your irritation when one of your contacts or friends on Twitter shares lots and lots of posts and doing lots of activities. Everytime, when he does perform any activity, it pops up on your timeline. Now Twitter comes with an option of "Mute" that will erase all your irritation.

The famous social networking site has announced to add one new feature "Mute" which let you to control the unwanted twitter users from your feeds by hiding them. It's not like unfollow, it just hides the users from your screen. And, the best part is the user will have no idea that you hide them from your feeds.

It simply means; user which you hide, will not be visible to your timeline and it will make you relax by their annoying feeds and sharing. Despite of all this, they can still retweet on your tweets and can choose your tweets as favorite. It is said that the company will bring this feature very soon in few days.

Now, the must to know part is how to use this feature. By following some easy steps, you can take benefit of "Mute" feature.

  • Log-in to your twitter account
  • Click on the "More" on the bottom of tweet and select "Mute" @ Username
  • Click on the "Gear" Icon and chose "Mute" (To Mute users from their profile page)

If you want to unmute the user then, simply go to the profile of the muted user and then, click on the red "Mute" icon. The important thing is to notice that the feature would not be used immediately after its releasing.
