6GB/128GB Variant of Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Launched in China

Xiaomi, has launched the new 6GB RAM+128GB inbuilt storage variant of Redmi Note 5 in its home country China. To recall, the Redmi Note 5 was launched in India with the modified name as Redmi Note 5 Pro. The China variant is slightly different from the Indian variant in terms of specification.

Currently, it is not confirmed that whether the company would launch the 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage variant in India under the Redmi Note 5 Pro name.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, 6GB RAM/128GB storage variant has been priced at CNY 1,699 which roughly translates to Rs 17,000. It will be available for purchase from 27th July particularly in the China market.

Earlier this year, the company launched three variants of Redmi Note 5 include 3GB RAM/ 32GB model, a 4GB/ 64GB variant, and a 6GB/64GB onboard storage. With the launch of the new variant, you can get more space to store the content i,e 6GB RAM and 128GB inbuilt storage on the China variant of Redmi Note 5.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro was launched in India this year in February and it has been categorized under the best selling smartphones in India and later the company had decided to launch it in China with Redmi Note 5.

There are some slight differences between the Redmi Note 5 (China variant) and Redmi Note 5 Pro Indian variant, the China variant comes with a 13-megapixel selfie camera whereas the Indian variant features a 20-megapixel selfie camera.

The Redmi Note 5 features a dual-pixel PDAF, while the Redmi Note 5 Pro has just PDAF, that means the Redmi Note 5 is better than the Indian version in terms of photography

Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 China Variant Specifications

Redmi Note 5 has a 5.99-inch full-HD+ with a screen resolution of (1080 x 2160 pixels) and 18:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, it is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 SoC coupled with up to 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB onboard storage.

In terms of optics, the Redmi Note 5 (China variant) has a vertically positioned dual rear cameras consisting of 12MP primary sensor and 5- megapixel secondary sensor. Up front, there is a 13-megapixel selfie snapper for video calling. The China variant has a battery back up of 4,000mAh.
