Android 5.0 Lollipop delayed to serve in other Nexus plates, faces bug

People were keenly waiting for the Android 5.0 Lollipop update to arrive on the other Nexus devices. But, no notification they received for the same. It was announced earlier that the process has begun for the update to bring on few Nexus devices. But, the day has come and went out taking all those hopes for the Android update along with it. It seems like the search giant has postponed the release of its testiest dish for other Nexus devices. Some reports suggested the reason for the delay in the launching of Android Lollipop on other devices. The reason according to them is the bug in the Nexus 5 handset at the time of tesing it with the latest platform.

The Nexus 5 handset has faced battery-draining bug while updating it with Android 5.0, as reported by Google's issue tracker. This bug let the handset’s battery drain very quickly which doesn’t happen originally when the Wi-Fi is on. This had been seen over the Nexus 5 device was testing with latest OS's developer preview version. However, the Company has not mentioned the reason behind delay. It’s just our assumption for the delay in release.

Trevor Johns, Google Android Open Source Project Senior Developer Programs Engineer commented, "Android Engineering is aware of an issue affecting Nexus 5 users running Android 5.0 which causes significant 'Miscellaneous' battery usage while WiFi is enabled. This appears to be caused by an abnormally high number of IRQ wakeup events." He also said that they are trying to fix the bug and trying to find out the reason for this bug to arrive.

On the other side, Google has said that the glitch has been sort out now and the Android 5.0 upgrade will begin soon for Nexus. Whenever the upgrade will come is the secondary point, but the threat in our mind is rising day by day for making Android phones inferior.
